The Decatur Land Trust wants to make home ownership more affordable.
It has created a program to facilitate the sale of three new condos in a historic building in the popular Oakhurst neighborhood.
Park 108 is a move-in ready condominium community in the former Southern Bell telephone switchboard building.
It’s located across the street from the East Lake MARTA station and within the City of Decatur school district.
The three-storey building has been redeveloped by the Toll Brothers and offers a range of modern, loft-style studio, one-and two-bedroom floorplans, ranging in price from the $300Ks-$500Ks.
“Toll Brothers has done an extraordinary job of maintaining the building’s historic appeal, while incorporating the modern design elements today’s buyers want, such as original oversized windows and high ceilings, expansive living spaces, gourmet kitchens, wide-plank hard surface flooring, custom cabinetry, curated design finishes and gated, on-site parking,” said Jamie Mock with Shirley Gary Group/Ansley Real Estate in a news release.
Three units are for sale through the Decatur Land Trust, one efficiency/studio, and two one-bedroom condominiums.
Each is priced at $199,900, and down payment assistance is available for qualified home buyers through a variety of sources, including Decide DeKalb and the Decatur Land Trust.
“Income restrictions will apply to potential buyers, who must also meet lending requirements,” said Decatur Land Trust.
“Interested buyers are required to attend an online home purchase information session, held at noon on the second Wednesday of each month via Zoom.”
Those sessions will provide information about the community land trust model.
