Detail of the new Upper Westside CID parking map.

The Upper Westside Community Improvement District (CID) has launched an interactive parking map for West Midtown.

The map highlights available parking throughout the Upper Westside District, focusing on the Marietta Street Artery neighborhood in particular, according to a press release.

As a direct response to growing feedback about traffic and parking, local property owners gathered recently to discuss a coordinated strategy that included providing more parking validations and reducing parking rates. The map also highlights which parking decks feature bike parking and EV charging.

The new map tool identifies dozens of parking locations throughout the Upper Westside, including information on complimentary and business-validated parking for patrons. Sites include popular destinations such as Westside Provisions District and Star Metals on Howell Mill Road, The Works on Chattahoochee Avenue and Brickworks on Marietta Street.

“This is an area built on creativity and innovation. While there is abundant parking, we felt it would be helpful to back Upper Westside CID’s initiative to give patrons an easy-to-follow guide,” said Matt Bronfman, the CEO of Jamestown, which is part-owner of Westside Provisions District. “The new map takes the guesswork out of parking costs so planning visits to enjoy everything our shops and restaurants have to offer is effortless.”

In addition to the online tool, the Upper Westside CID and participating property owners are developing universal Upper Westside signage to help drivers locate the parking decks, way finding for bicycle parking and signs guiding rideshare drives to safe and convenient pick up and drop off zones.
