WorkSource Fulton will meet job seekers at several Fulton County Library System branches, including the Sandy Springs location, starting on Aug. 19 to expand access to employment and training services.
The county agency’s Mobile Career Center will regularly visit six library branches to help residents take the next step in their career journey, according to a news release.
The visits will deliver workforce services directly to the community through Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)-funded training programs, the release said. With the expanded access to these programs, WorkSource Fulton aims to empower individuals with the skills and support needed to succeed in today’s job market.
The Mobile Career Center offers computers, internet access, and trained staff ready to assist job seekers with accessing resources and navigating the path to employment. The release said staff members are available to help those residents who are new to the workforce, changing careers, or interested in gaining new skills through training.
The training will be offered at the Sandy Springs library branch every third Thursday at 395 Mount Vernon Hwy.NE, Sandy Springs, and at the other library branch locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on their designated days each month.
