Meals On Wheels Atlanta (MOWA), a nonprofit dedicated to helping seniors in-need, is set to host its eighth annual Women’s Power Luncheon on Sept. 18.
Taking place at 1705WEST, the event will gather corporate and philanthropic female leaders from across Atlanta for a slate of programming, all of which relates to the overarching theme: “Leading Well: Grounded in Wellness, Thriving in Purpose.”
“Atlanta is home to some of the most innovative and impactful women in the country,” said Charlene Crusoe-Ingram, chief executive officer of Meals On Wheels Atlanta. “This year’s luncheon is about refueling our leaders — mind, body, and spirit — so they can continue driving change with vision and compassion.”
The Women’s Power Luncheon will feature a panel discussion featuring several female leaders, including Kimberly Blackwell, D’anne Cagle-Heckert, Kimberly Evans Paige and Marissa Maldonado.
In addition to the panel, the event will also include a welcome reception, multi-course lunch, brand activations designed to “restore and recharge,” along with a silent auction that offers a variety of wellness and lifestyle packages.
“This luncheon is a celebration of the women who are not only shaping our city’s future but also doing it with purpose, heart and resilience. We believe that when women lead well, entire communities thrive,” said Crusoe-Ingram.
All the proceeds from the event will go towards funding MOWA’s meal services program, which provides food and support to seniors facing hunger and isolation.
