The 4th annual Give Sanctuary Festival – featuring a blend of music, art, food, and youth-centered experiences – returns Saturday, Sept. 27. from noon to 7 p.m. in the historic Pittsburgh District of Atlanta at 352 University Ave. SW.
This year’s theme, “It Takes A Village: Building the Future Together,” sets the tone for the free event, presented in partnership with Pittsburgh Community Market.
Festival highlights include:
- IP Kids Academy: A vibrant kids’ village with STEAM fun, sensory play and scavenger hunts
- Music & art installations: Built by the community, for the community
- The Shoppes of Give Sanctuary: Vendors offering the best of culture and creativity
- Food Village: Local chefs sharing culturally inspired dishes
- The Guardians Cup Tournament: A celebration of sport and unity
This year introduces Sanctuary Row, an interactive “neighborhood” within the festival where attendees can design and host their own cabana space. As part of the “Best on the Block” Cabana Contest, participants are invited to transform a 10×10 tent into a personal sanctuary — cozy, creative, colorful, and community-rooted. The most outstanding setup will be crowned with a prize — and serious bragging rights.
The Guardians Cup Soccer Series, facilitated by Soccer in the Streets and Black Girl Soccer, will hold its finals tournament during the festival.
