
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend – Sept. 27-28 – there are a multitude of events happening in Atlanta – from music festivals to art events to film screenings.
East Atlanta Strut
This neighborhood-wide festival on Sept. 27 will feature fun events like Leaf Blower Madness, Strut Your Bake, and Llama Poop Bingo, plus food, live music, a 5K race and the annual Strut Parade.
Washington Park Jamboree
The Atlanta Beltline is partnering with The Historic Washington Park Conservancy to host the Washington Park Jamboree on Sept. 27 from noon to 4 p.m. at 102 Ollie St NW. This free community event will feature live entertainment, local food, family and fitness activities and access to essential health and wellness resources.
Sweet Auburn Music Fest
Head Downtown to the Sweet Auburn Historic District on Sept. 27-28 for this free outdoor festival featuring a lineup of R&B, hip-hop, and gospel music. There will also be plenty of food, an art expo and more.
1906 Atlanta Race Massacre Mural Unveiling
The National Center for Civil and Human Rights will unveil a new mural by artist Fabian Williams honoring the victims and survivors of the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre on Sept. 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. at 1297 McDonough Blvd. SE.
Old Fourth Ward Fall Arts Festival
Historic Fourth Ward Park on the Beltline is hosting this two-day event Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with local artists, kid’s zone, food, and live acoustic music.
Sunday in the Park & Tunes from the Tombs
Historic Oakland Cemetery is hosting another combined version of its two big fall events on Sept. 28 from noon to 7:30 p.m. There will be guided tours, a costume contest, artist market, craft beer, storytelling and live music from BB Palmer and Electric Blue Yonder, Boom! Trio ft. Lavahi, Arkose, and Billy Allen + The Pollies.
