1. Take 5 with culture curator and art educator Louise Gordon

🩰 Louise Gordon now serves as manager of the Atlanta Ballet Boutique, the exclusive retailer for the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education uniforms and apparel.

Gordon loves the ballet and believes that art – especially dance – transcends language. It’s about connection, storytelling, and shared humanity. What Gordon cherishes most is that dance is inherently inclusive – that “everyone can feel something through movement, no matter their culture, background, or language.”

In her most recent Take 5 column, Teri Elam spoke with Gordon about her love for Atlanta and her work with the Atlanta Ballet.

But, there’s actually a reason these breakdowns happen when you need your machines most.

Holidays push every appliance in your home to the limit. From overworked fridges crammed with leftovers to washers handling endless guest laundry, the seasonal surge in use reveals weak spots that might’ve been hiding all year.

⏲️ Learn more from TrustDALE about how you can avoid holiday breakdowns.

3. Georgia clean energy job growth is cooling, new study says

🔋 A new study released by the nonpartisan climate research group E2 says that clean energy progress is slowing, especially in Georgia.

Zach Amittay, the Southeast advocate for E2, said that while Georgia led the country in new clean energy projects in 2023, progress has declined.

Slowing growth in the clean energy sector could be due to the Biden administration’s clean energy incentives and tax credits ended by the Trump administration.
