Visitors to the City Green in Sandy Springs can head out onto the ice for a third season with the return of Skate City Springs beginning on Nov. 14.
An ice-skating rink will be installed just off Galambos Way through Jan. 19, according to a news release.
The city will add glow skating this year on Thursday and Friday nights after dark.
This year the rink will host special themed parties, including Ugly Sweater Holiday on Ice, Team Jersey, K-Vibe, and Saturday Ice Fever. The news release said that the themed parties will be held on Saturdays from 9 to 11 p.m. A DJ will play a live set to mix festive tunes for skaters and onlookers to “dress up and get down on the ice.” The city will post the schedule on Instagram and other social media.
Tickets go on sale at noon on Nov. 3 and include skate rentals. Prices are $18 for adults and $15 for children ages 2 to 9. Advance online registrations are recommended as capacity is limited and online reservations will be prioritized. The release recommended arriving 10 to 15 minutes early to pick up ice skates
