Three of the four races for the Atlanta Board of Education appeared headed to the Dec. 2 runoff as of midnight.

Melissa Crawford (36%) appeared to be headed to a runoff with Tony Mitchell (38%)for the District 2 seat. The two had outdistanced Stephen Owens (24%).

District 4 Jennifer McDonald was leading Sanjay Mendonca by a large margin (60% to 39%), but no votes had been counted in DeKalb for the seat as of midnight.

Incumbent Toltan R. Pace (35%) appeared to be headed to a runoff with Patreece Hutcherson (23%) for District 6. They outdistanced three other challengers – Michael Hopkins, Jonathan Leon, and Tyrese Miller.

Kaycee Brock and Royce Mann appeared to be headed to a runoff for the District 8 At-Large seat with percentages hovering in the upper 30s, but there will still many precincts left to be counted in Fulton. They outdistanced a third challenger, Aisha Stith.
