The Cobb County CDBG Program Office will host a Public Review Meeting at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 to receive comments on the 2026 70% funding recommendations for the County’s CDBG, HOME, and ESG programs. Funding received through these programs is allocated to various activities that primarily serve the needs of low-and-moderate income persons in Cobb County.
2026 HUD 70% Estimated Allocations
The County’s 2026 HUD funding estimates are allocated at 70% of the prior year’s grant allocation. HUD has not yet released the 2026 CDBG, ESG, and HOME allocations as of December 2025. This conservative methodology is utilized because HUD does not publish its annual allocations before the County’s 2026-2030 Consolidated Plan and 2026 Annual Action Plan are due. Listed below are the 2026 HUD 70% Estimated Allocations:
- CDBG – $2,394,326.90
- HOME – $845,831.54
- ESG – $195,021.40
