
Ronald McDonald House Atlanta will host its Holiday Shop at its recently opened, 110-room House on the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Arthur M. Blank hospital campus on December 15.
According to a release, The Holiday Shop, 2580 Briarcliff Rd NE, Atlanta, GA, allows families with sick or injured children staying at the house to select and wrap presents for their children free of charge.
To celebrate the opening of the store, the event will feature a visit from Santa, a festive holiday meal from Ronald McDonald House Atlanta’s Chef Jeff, and gingerbread cookie decorating.
For families who travel long distances to Atlanta for their children to receive critical pediatric care, Ronald McDonald House Atlanta serves as “home away from home” during the holidays, the release said.
The event comes on the heels of the house’s grand opening on Dec. 9, followed by the families’ move-in days on December 10 and 11.
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Atlanta, according to the release “is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare.”
