Atlanta Police are investigating the death of a man and a woman inside a home on Cooledge Avenue in Virginia Highland.
On Dec. 27 at approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to the home for a welfare check and, upon entry, located a male and female deceased inside. Both had gunshot wounds, according to APD.
The department confirmed Sunday that one of the deceased was APD Officer Kevin Stroner, 56, and the other was Moriah Cardona, 44.
Police said in a statement that there was no threat to the community and that it was “isolated incident.”
“We are not looking for any outstanding suspect(s) at this time,” the statement said.
