In accordance with Gov. Brian Kemp’s State of Emergency declaration ahead of this weekend’s winter storm, many Atlanta venues are cancelling or postponing events. Find a list of event cancellations and postponements below.

- Georgia Native Plant Society, Atlanta Chapter gardening event (originally Jan. 25) POSTPONED to Feb. 28. Existing tickets will be automatically transferred to the new date. The event will also accept refunds at the full ticket price.
- 7 Stages Theater:
- Atlanta Comedy Film Festival (originally Jan. 23-25) POSTPONED to Feb. 6-8
- Havinagala, the benefit for JF&CS’ PAL program, is canceled. The silent auction is live, open to all, and every bid directly supports the PAL Program and its annual budget.
Events/Concerts - All Fulton County Libraries will close at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24.
- Saturday dialysis transportation service for senior services via TransDev will be suspended on Saturday, Jan. 24; Appointments are being rescheduled.
- All Senior Centers and Developmental Disability Centers will close on Monday, Jan. 26. Families have been notified to prepare for alternative care.
- The Fulton County Animal Services Facility will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25.
- The Fulton County District Attorney’s Record Restrict Event originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24 has been rescheduled until February.
- The Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities will offer virtual outpatient behavioral health appointments only for Monday, Jan. 26. No in-person services will be offered that day.
- The City of Tucker’s city offices will be closed for residents and employees on Jan. 26, according to a note posted at the city’s government building.
- Fulton County Behavioral Health is working with Grady Health System to ensure continued 24/7 operation of the Behavioral Health Crisis Center.
- Fulton County employees have been reminded to monitor Fulton County website and social media in the event of any possible closures.
- DeKalb County Police Department has canceled its DKPD Town Hall scheduled for Jan. 26 in Decatur until further notice. The next scheduled town hall will take place at 6 p.m. Jan. 28 at the East Precinct, 2123 Klondike Road, Stonecrest.
City-specific events
- In Dunwoody, its Saturday DHA Farmers Market at Brook Run Park has been cancelled, as well as the Sunday Farmers Market at the Shops of Dunwoody.
- Brookhaven’s City Council Advance meeting, scheduled for Jan. 24, has been cancelled.
- Tucker has postponed its city council meeting, originally scheduled for Jan. 27, to Feb. 2. The recreation center will close tomorrow at 2 p.m.
- Midtown Masquerade, the annual fundraiser to benefit Midtown High School in Atlanta, has been moved online due to weather concerns. All auction items –including those originally planned as LIVE items — will be available to bid online beginning Friday morning at 8 a.m. and closing Monday morning at 8 a.m. (1/23 – 1/26). An in-person event will be delayed until March 13.
Houses of worship
• First Baptist Church Atlanta has cancelled in-person services. Join online at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25.
• Dunwoody Baptist Church’s tech team, worship team, and pastors are recording a Sunday worship service for virtual church at 8:30 and 11a.m. on Jan. 25.
• Northpoint Church will have services online Jan. 25. Check the website for schedule.
• Grace Midtown Church will hold online services at 9 a.m.
• The Temple in Midtown has cancelled all BEC and Temple programs for Sunday, Jan. 25.
• Virginia Highland Church will be closed on Sunday and offer an online service at 11 a.m.
• St. Mark UMC in Midtown will be closed and hold a virtual service online.
