The Riverwood Athletic Association will host its annual Online Auction Fundraiser from Feb. 6 to Feb. 20, offering the Sandy Springs community an opportunity to support local student athletes and coaches.
Proceeds from the auction go toward supporting the Riverwood Raiders sports teams and updating facilities that were not completed during the school’s major renovations a couple of years ago.

The athletic association is a nonprofit, volunteer-led organization committed to supporting all athletic programs at Riverwood International Charter School in southern Sandy Springs.
Angie Dumler, vice president of fundraising for the Riverwood Athletic Association, said the public has an opportunity to bid on a variety of local experiences, goods, and services.
“We’re excited to offer our community the chance to score amazing items while making a meaningful impact on the lives of our athletes,” Dumler said. “This is a great way for supporters of Riverwood to show their spirit and continue to build on our strong foundation of our leading sports program.”
The Riverwood Athletic Association says the Sandy Springs and metro Atlanta community has truly rallied around student athletes. Available auction items include VIP tickets to an Atlanta United game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, signed memorabilia from Atlanta sports legends, gift cards to local restaurants, and a round of golf at Steel Canyon Golf Club.
Proceeds ideas include funding new equipment and installing finishing touches at the basketball gym and football field.
Riverwood Athletic Director Peter Graybeck said the athletic association is under dynamic leadership and filled with parents who want to see all athletics and the community succeed.
“One of the greatest signs of a strong athletic program is the success of its booster club,” Graybeck said. “We are fortunate to have an umbrella booster club that supports all of Riverwood’s athletic programs.”
Beyond some of the items, Riverwood coaches and athletes are personally donating their time and offering unique experiences.
Karla Avery, the winning bidder of the girls’ volleyball camp experience last year, said her experience was meaningful to her.
“It will be hard not to bid on it again, though I suppose I should give another girl the chance to experience it for herself,” Avery said.
A preview of the auction items is available now.
