Shawn Mullins, with special guest Angie Aparo, has joined the lineup for the 2026 Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival, according to an announcement by the city.
Mullins and Apara will join The Head and the Heart and Max McNown, who will be the concert headliners for the 2026 Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival, taking place Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29, at Blackburn Park.
The Head and The Heart is the Saturday headliner, while Max McNown headlines on Sunday, March 29. Soul Asylum will join the Saturday lineup, while Natasha Bedingfield performs Sunday.
Mullins, Aparo, and Penelope Road join the Saturday lineup, and Bedingfield will perform Sunday, along with Avery Anna and Nicotine Dolls.

The Head and the Heart, an American indie band formed in 2009, is known for singles like “Rivers and Roads,” “Missed Connections,” and 2019’s “Honeybee.”
Max McNown, a singer-songwriter from Bend, Oregon, based in Nashville, TN, is known for his 2024 hit “A Lot More Free.”
“Once again the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival proves why it’s one of the best concert events around the state,” Brookhaven Mayor John Park said in the release. “It’s one of my favorite times of year – bringing our residents, friends and neighbors together in beautiful Blackburn Park for a weekend of music, art, fun and food.”

The 2025 festival drew 61,000 attendees – the biggest event yet. Last year, live musical acts including Boyz II Men and O.A.R. were some of the 10 bands featured, up from eight bands in 2024. In prior years, Bare Naked Ladies, Lisa Loeb, and HANSON have taken the stage.
In addition to the music, this year’s festival, sponsored by Renasant Bank and Galardi South Enterprises, brings back favorites such as the Splash Artists’ Market, Kidz Zone presented by Kroger Delivery, a classic car show presented by Jim Ellis Automotive Group, and food trucks.
The Brookhaven Cherry Blossom 5K run, which is a certified Peachtree Road Race qualifier and a fundraiser for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, will take place on Saturday, March 21. For more information about the Cherry Blossom Festival, visit the festival’s website.
