1. Metal Arts Guild of Georgia relocates to Tucker
🚛 City of Tucker officials recently joined the Metal Arts Guild of Georgia (MAGG) to celebrate its relocation to Tucker and expanded amenities for avid metal artisans.
The nonprofit organization, founded more than 25 years ago, supports metal smiths and metal artists through education, community, and shared resources. The volunteer-run organization relocated to Tucker, at its Railroad Avenue spot, from Doraville in the fall.
Mayor Anne Lerner, Mayor Pro Tem Virginia Rece, District 2 Councilwoman Cara Schroeder, District 3 Councilwoman Amy Trocchi, John McHenry, Tucker’s city manager, and Erica Rocker, Tucker’s economic development director, were on hand for the ribbon-cutting festivities on Feb. 5.

3. E-bike Rebate Program gets renewed for second round trip
🚲 Atlanta’s E-Bike Rebate Program will return this year for another round of applicants. Atlanta City Council recently approved $1 million in funding for the program.
Propel ATL and the Atlanta Regional Commission will receive funds from the city to continue the rebate program. The initial launch in 2024 issued 734 rebates for mostly low-income applicants to redeem in Atlanta bike shops.
