The Sandy Springs Society invites metro Atlantans to the 33rd annual Tossed Out Treasures, an upscale resale event, March 13-15 at the Parkside Shopping Center at Roswell Road and Cliftwood Drive.
Tossed Out Treasures co-chairs Christina Ferguson and Elizabeth Kelly encourage community members to search their homes, donate, and shop. The annual sale, which is also the nonprofit’s longest-running fundraiser, supports the environment by collecting and reselling gently used upscale items. Organizers say it’s the ultimate guilt-free shopping experience.

All proceeds go back into the community through the Society’s nonprofit grant program, which disbursed more than $380,000 to 44 local organizations last year.
Since 1992, Tossed Out Treasures has focused on reselling, reusing, and repurposing designer clothing, high-end accessories, jewelry, antiques, books, and household items. At the conclusion of the sale, any unsold merchandise is donated to charities.
The general public is invited to shop at Tossed Out Treasures March 13-15, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.
The annual sale begins with a preview party from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, that is open to the public. Tickets go on sale soon. Collectors and savvy shoppers can browse, enjoy a festive dinner, and get first dibs on the thousands of treasures.
Donors can drop off items from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, Tuesday, Feb. 24 through Saturday, Feb. 28, and Tuesday, March 3 through Saturday, March 7.
The Sandy Springs Society’s webpage for Tossed Out Treasures will be updated later with links to purchase tickets. It has guidelines for what kinds of items can be donated.
