The Human Rights Campaign, Atlanta Pride, Georgia Equality, and more than 30 other advocacy groups are bringing people to the Georgia Capitol in Atlanta on March 10 for a day of advocacy training, contacting lawmakers, and rallying for LGBTQ+ rights.

Pride to the Capitol will kick off at 8 a.m. at Atlanta City Hall with a breakfast reception before advocacy training at 9 a.m. The event will move to Liberty Plaza for a rally and speaker program at 10:45 a.m., then will move to the Capitol for drop-in lawmaker contact at noon and 3 p.m. There will be a press conference about the event at 2 p.m. on the South Wing Steps.

“LGBTQ+ people are facing more than attacks on our right to marry and our right to best practice health care,” HRC said of the event. “We are multidimensional humans who live at many intersections whose basic needs are not being met because our government has been bought and paid for by corporate and corrupted interests. We seek to improve every part of LGBTQ+ life, and the lives of those we share community with.”

Those interested in attending Pride to the Capitol can reserve their spot and select times for attendance. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided with RSVPs. HRC will send registered attendees preparatory materials, including parking information, as well as virtual training, in advance of the event.
