Brookhaven is laying the literal foundation towards connecting pedestrian infrastructure and advancing the city’s multi-modal plan with new infill sidewalk project underway at Executive Park South.
This project will construct approximately 410 linear feet of five-foot-wide sidewalk and four ADA ramps along the south side of Executive Park South, according to a city release. The project connects the existing ADA sidewalk ramp at 54 Executive Park South to the existing ADA sidewalk ramp at the intersection of Chantilly Drive/Executive Park South, creating continuity between the City of Atlanta into Brookhaven.

The infill sidewalk and ramps are funded by the city’s infill sidewalk funds.
“Earlier this year, at the January 27 Regular Meeting of the Brookhaven City Council, Council adopted an increase to the payment in lieu of sidewalk construction fees paid by developers,” the release said. “The previous rate, set in 2018 at $50 per linear foot, has increased to $77 per linear foot.”
.The adopted amendment also requires annual reviews and recommendations for fee updates based on city sidewalk construction costs from the previous year.
The contractor’s schedule for the project at Executive Park South estimates completion by end of April, weather permitting, the release said.
