Saturday, April 11 — Rory McIlroy closed with six birdies over his final seven holes yesterday, shooting a 7-under 65 to set the Masters record for the largest 36-hole lead at six shots. The defending champion, who spent 17 years waiting for his first green jacket, is trying to become only the fourth player in history to win back-to-back Masters titles. Round 3 begins today at 9:31 a.m.
☀️ It will be sunny and in the 80s through the weekend.
MARKET UPDATE
📈 The S&P 500 posted its best week since November, gaining 3.6%, as a fragile two-week U.S.-Iran ceasefire calmed the markets. Still, inflation concerns tied to surging energy costs lingered, with consumer prices up 3.3% annually and a University of Michigan survey showing consumers expect inflation to hit 4.8% over the next year.
