Midtown High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter recently captured top honors at the 2026 Georgia FBLA State Leadership conference, an annual gathering that brings together student leaders from across the state to compete in business-focused events.

Throughout the day, the Midtown students collectively earned a total of seven state championships (first place finishes) and over 30 top-ten placements at the conference, which took place in Atlanta.

Along with the students’ individual accomplishments, Midtown High School received several prestigious recognitions, including “Superior Chapter of the Year” and a third-place finish in the Business Achievement Awards. David Turner, Midtown High School’s FBLA adviser, was also named “Region 7 Adviser of the Year.”

“These accomplishments reflect the daily work happening in your classrooms,” said Turner. “The skills students develop through instruction directly translate into their success in competitions like FBLA.”

During the state conference, over 20 Midtown High School students qualified for the FBLA National Leadership Conference, where they will compete against other FBLA chapters across the U.S.

The FBLA National Leadership Conference is set to take place in San Antonio, Texas this upcoming June.
