A new steakhouse will enter the Buckhead restaurant scene on April 23, joining the ranks of nearly one dozen steakhouses (new and old) in the area.
Melding a New York City steakhouse with a Southern restaurant, Clark’s Steakhouse takes up residence on the ground floor of the 2827 Peachtree building near Fellini’s.
Backed by C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar owner Rich Clark, the menu includes prime cuts of steak, including a 22-ounce wet-aged Linz Heritage Angus (LHA) reserve prime lollipop ribeye. Expect venison, duck, quail, salmon Wellington, lobster, and seafood towers among the other protein choices. Appetizers and sides lean Southern at Clarks, like fried shrimp, she crab soup, whipped sweet potatoes, and creamed peas. Look for desserts such as a Coca-Cola German chocolate cake, inspired by a family recipe from Clark’s grandmother.
The bar serves steakhouse classics like martinis and a spin on an Old Fashioned made with tequila and mezcal. And Clark’s wine list runs deep, with 550 selections spanning wine-making regions from Bordeaux and Burgundy to the hillsides of Italy and the Napa Valley. Sommelier and Director of Operations and Beverage Alexa Robertson also compiled a robust list of champagnes and sparkling wines for Clark’s.

The design
Clark said he drew inspiration for both the menu and design for his steakhouse from cities like New York and Charleston, mingling terrazzo flooring and dark, rich woods with softer design elements like velvet. The dining room also features portraits of influential Atlantans, including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., John Portman, Andrew Young, and Ted Turner.
Seating 170 people, the dining room is punctuated by a 30-seat elongated oval bar with luxe burgundy velvet bar stools. An 18-seat private dining room called The Policy Room lies just beyond.
“A steakhouse has always been in the back of my mind,” Clark said in a press release. “I never wanted to force it; I was waiting for the right space and the right moment to do it justice. When this opportunity came along, it just clicked and felt like the natural next step.”

Clark’s Steakhouse will kick off with dinner service daily, followed by weekday lunch service on May 4.
Clark’s Steakhouse becomes the second new steakhouse to open in Buckhead over the last six months. In November, Revival Restaurants, the group behind The Ivy and Family Dog, opened Luella in the former Ivy space on Roswell Road. Owners and brothers Jamey and Benjie Shirah describe Luella as an Italian steakhouse with Japanese influences.
