City Springs Theatre Company will close its 2025-26 season with a production of “Mean Girls” running from May 1-17.
“Mean Girls,” based on the 2004 satire of the same name, follows Cady Heron (Adagia Rueda) as she navigates the world of high school and exacts revenge against the most popular girl in school, Regina George (Landry Champlin) and her group of cronies. Performances will take place at the Byers Theatre in the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center.
The musical features a book by Tina Fey (who also wrote the screenplay for the film), music by Jeff Richmond, and lyrics by Nell Benjamin. “Mean Girls” opened on Broadway in 2018 and the West End in 2024.

“Because of its high-energy, pop score, and Tina Fey’s punchline-driven script, ‘Mean Girls’ quickly established itself as an audience favorite both on Broadway and in London,” Natalie DeLancey, the executive director of City Springs Theatre Company, said in a press release. “Like all great musical-comedies, Mean Girls absolutely knows how to entertain audiences, and it does so with great wit and confident absurdity – everything you want for a good time at the theatre.”
According to the release, of the 24 people in the cast, 16 of them are making their City Springs debut. In addition to Rueda and Champlin, the cast includes Ruth Mehari as Gretchen Wieners; Ella Benward as Karen Smith; Terica Marie as Janis Sarkisian; Cole Fletcher as Damian Hubbard; Autumn Guzzardi as Mrs. Heron/Ms. Norbury/Mrs. George; Asher Thornton as Aaron Samuels; and Shahwaiz Nassar as Kevin G.
