Summer of Fun kicks off on Friday with a live performance by Trina Meade and Co. The show begins at 7 p.m., but visitors are invited to set up blankets, chairs, and picnic meals beginning at 5:30 p.m. Glass, tables, and pets are not permitted.

Concerts will return throughout the summer on the first Friday of every month. The Fleetwood Mac tribute band Landslide performs on June 5, and Mad Hatters, a Tom Petty tribute band, takes the stage on Aug. 7. Foozer, a Foo Fighters and Weezer cover band, will close out the summer concert series on Sep. 4.

July’s concert will be in conjunction with Tucker’s annual July 3 celebration on Main Street. The event will include live music as well as a kids’ zone, food trucks, and a fireworks show, all beginning at 6 p.m. Details about the performance line-up will be announced soon.

The Tucker Parks and Recreation Department will also host monthly family-friendly movie screenings on the Green throughout the summer. The fun starts on May 21 with “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and continues with “Zootopia 2” on June 18, “Uncle Buck” on July 16, and “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” on Aug. 20.

Like with the concert series, movies begin at 7 p.m., but attendees are welcome to set-up at 5:30 p.m.
