The Brookhaven City Council will hold its next regularly scheduled business meeting at 6:30 p.m. May 12, at the Brookhaven PEP Building, 2665 Buford Highway, according to an announcement from the city.
The consent agenda includes:
- Consideration of a vehicle surplus donation to the Cherokee Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office
- Consideration of a resolution appointing Tim Grow to the Arts and Culture Commission
- Consideration of an updated travel policy
- Minutes from the April 28 meetings
- Consideration of the Brookhaven CDBG 2026-2030 Consolidated Plan and 2026 Action Plan
Business items include:
- First-quarter executive financial report presentation;
- Consideration of an ordinance to amend the General Fund budget for fiscal year 2026 to appropriate $87,024 from the General Fund sidewalk assigned fund balance for the Lake Hearn side path construction project;
- Consideration of an ordinance to amend the Capital Improvement Program and General Fund budgets for fiscal year 2025 to appropriate a transfer from the Capital Improvement Program fund balance to the General Fund in the amount of $2,050,000 for fund balance and $2,733,000 for assigned capital reserve;
- Consideration of a construction contract with RM Concrete Specialists LLC for up to $87,023.77 for the Lake Hearn side path project, a PCID 50/50 cost-share project;
- Consideration of the 2026-2030 signs and signals on-call annual contract with Sunbelt Traffic,
