NOTE: Because of expected thunderstorms tonight, the Dine Around Dunwoody event has been cancelled.
The traditional Dunwoody Homeowners Association Food Truck Thursday event is taking on a new identity.
Now called Dine Around Dunwoody, the monthly event will travel to different venues around the city. It was expected to kick off May 21 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Brook Run Park, featuring live music by G-Cliff & The Playlist, but has been canceled because of inclement weather.

At a recent DHA meeting, Tim Brown, the organization’s president, announced the rebranding and the departure of Red Bird Events as the organizer.
“We made some assessments of the viability of the event – this has been around for 15 years,” Brown said. “We are now going to go bigger on entertainment. There will be new logos and new branding.”
The trucks at the events will focus on foods like Chick-fil-A, hot dogs, soft-serve ice cream, tacos, and other family-friendly options, he said.
“If we don’t try new things, we are going to get stale, so that’s why the decision was made on Food Truck Thursdays,” he told the DHA. “It’s new, but we think it’s going to be better.”
The event locations include Spruill Center for the Arts on June 18 and High Street on Aug. 20, but will not necessarily be held on Thursdays in the future, Brown said. Other possible future locales include the Donaldson-Bannister Farm and the Dunwoody Nature Center.
Dine around Dunwoody will return to Brook Run Park in October for the traditional Trunk or Treat event.
