The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Greater Atlanta, with Fulton County Magistrate Court, Fulton County Superior Court, The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Chapter of National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), and Fulton County Juvenile Court will host the annual Luggage of Love Community Drive to collect new and gently used luggage and backpacks for youth in foster care throughout Metro Atlanta.
The event will be held Saturday, May 30, 9 a.m.-noon at the Fulton County Juvenile Court, 395 Pryor St. SW in Atlanta.
The initiative helps replace trash bags and temporary carriers often used during placement transitions, providing children with dignity, comfort, and a sense of stability during difficult times, according to a release from the organization.
During the 2025 drive, community members donated 674 pieces of luggage, benefiting youth in the custody of the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services across Fulton and DeKalb counties, the release said..
Organizers are seeking to expand that impact in 2026 through continued community support.
