Good Samaritan Health Centers of Gwinnett signed onto the statewide “Compassion Heals” awareness campaign, launched by the Georgia Charitable Care Network.
The initiative is designed to strengthen the state’s healthcare safety net by amplifying the reach of charity clinics like Good Samaritan Gwinnett, ensuring that every uninsured Georgian has a path to high-quality, professional care.

The Good Samaritan Gwinnett is a nonprofit clinic with a location on Buford Highway in Norcross and on Commercial Court outside the city. According to Good Sam’s announcement, Georgia currently faces one of the highest uninsured rates in the United States.
Spotlighting clinics for the uninsured
The “Compassion Heals” campaign utilizes a strategic, multi-platform approach to connect with those in need and the donors who make their care possible. Examples include billboards across metro Atlanta and targeted radio advertisements in central Georgia.
For Good Samaritan Gwinnett’s Norcross clinic, it means helping more uninsured families learn about accessible healthcare close to home. From primary medical care and chronic disease management to dental cleanings, fillings, root canals, and tooth extractions, the nonprofit helps patients focus on prevention, improve long-term health, and avoid unnecessary emergency room visits.

More than 1.2 million residents, or roughly one in eight Georgians, lack health insurance. Many of these individuals are hardworking adults caught in the “coverage gap,” earning too much for Medicaid but not enough to afford soaring private insurance premiums.
Most clinics in the Georgia Charitable Care Network treat uninsured patients for 6% to 8% of the cost of a Medicaid patient, while reducing the strain on Georgia’s healthcare system.
The “Compassion Heals” campaign is also a call to action for the local community.
Good Samaritan Gwinnett Chief Executive Officer Shameka Allen said the Norcross clinic delivers lifesaving treatment with compassion at the heart of every visit.
“Your support doesn’t just fund healthcare,” Allen said. “It restores dignity and hope to neighbors who otherwise might go without.”
