The Bakery is hosting a group exhibition celebrating Black queer narratives for Pride month.

GAZE is a group exhibit featuring work by 11 artists who identify as Black and part of the LGBTQ+ community, curated by Jasmin Warnock. All the works in the exhibition explores narratives shaped by the artists’ identities.

GAZE opens on June 20 and will be on view from 6 to 10 p.m. at The Supermarket. The exhibition will feature work from Lewis H. Foster, Maia Helvy, Abby, Isi Lou Buckley, Cameron White, Victoria, Kamil Oshundara, Maya Evans, Gilbert, Symphonē, and Lyte Hill.

Visitors will be able to see the exhibit at The Supermarket for free from June 20 to June 28 from noon to either 6 p.m. or 9 p.m. depending on the date.

The exhibition closes with a reception on June 28 from noon to 4 p.m. with a performance by Cameron White and talks from the featured artists. Free RSVPs can be made for the reception on The Bakery’s website.
