Michelin-recognized Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao is now open at the Mall of Georgia.

The New York-based Shanghainese restaurant first opened in 2006. It now includes more than a dozen locations around the Northeast, with the Mall of Georgia in Buford being the first location in the Southeast.

“Opening our first restaurant in Georgia is an exciting milestone for Nan Xiang,” Eddie Zheng, the company’s CEO, said in a press release. “For nearly twenty years, guests have traveled to Queens to experience our soup dumplings.”

What’s on the menu

The Nan Xiang menu centers on soup dumplings, like the Lucky Six soup dumplings, a sampler basket of dumplings with naturally colored wrappers and fillings such as pork, crab and pork, chicken, and luffa shrimp and pork.

Expect noodle dishes, beef noodle soups, stir-fries, pan-fried pork buns, scallion pancakes, and other dim sum dishes, along with drinks like fruit teas. The restaurant will also serve all-day breakfast dishes, including fried dough sticks with soybean milk.

Nan Xiang’s Mall of Georgia location seats 175 people, with 135 seats indoors and 40 seats on the patio.
