Two arrests have been made in a fatal shooting at an Old Fourth Ward apartment complex on July 10.
Homicide investigators found probable cause to charge D’keiman Carter, 17, and a 16-year-old juvenile male for their involvement in the homicide that occurred at 464 Boulevard NE.
Both males are currently in custody at Grady Memorial Detention Center. They both will be charged with murder, aggravated Assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
According to preliminary information from the Atlanta Police Department, officers responded to a call of multiple people shot at the 464 Station apartments on Boulevard just before 5:30 p.m. on July 10.
Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old male, a 17-year-old male, an 18-year-old male, and a 23-year-old female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The 16-year-old, 17-year-old, and 23-year-old were transported to the hospital in stable condition. Despite life-saving efforts, the 18-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Officers currently have individuals detained for questioning. Investigators with the Homicide Unit responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
