The Brookhaven Police Department arrested two people for operating an unlicensed massage business.
Chunlei Wang, 65, and Yun Pan, 47, were arrested following an investigation at a massage business establishment at 2484 Briarcliff Road.
On June 21, Brookhaven Police officers responded to the establishment after receiving a complaint about the business.
“During the course of the investigation, detectives determined that Wang was practicing massage therapy without a current or provisional license,” according to a release from the department. “Investigators also developed probable cause to
charge Pan, the owner of the business, with unlawfully employing an unlicensed massage therapist.”
Wang was arrested on July 10, and charged with Unlawful Practice of Massage Therapy Without a Current or Provisional License, in violation of O.C.G.A. § 43-24A-15(e). Pan was arrested on July 14 and charged with Unlawful Employment of an Unlicensed Massage Therapist, in violation of O.C.G.A. § 43-24A-15(d)(2), the release said.
According to DeKalb County Jail records, Pan remains in custody.
The investigation remains ongoing.
