One person was wounded and windows at several businesses were shattered during a shooting on Peachtree Street in Midtown.

According to the preliminary report, Zone 5 Atlanta Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at 848 Peachtree St. just after 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 30.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers located a 27-year-old male victim who had sustained an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was alert, conscious, and breathing and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

WSB-TV reported that windows at the Starbucks and Vietnamese restaurant Anh’s Kitchen were shattered, while witnesses said two men were arguing in front of the now-closed Soigné Garden restaurant when shots were fired.

Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The investigation continues.
