After three straight seasons with eight or more wins, North Atlanta took a step back last season with a 5-5 record and its first year without a playoff appearance since 2021. The Warriors began their 2025 campaign by putting up a great fight against defending state champion Hebron Christian, but ultimately losing, 29-22, the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic at West Forsyth High School. North Atlanta rebounded with a 38-6 win against Paulding County, but returned to the loss column with a narrow 35-34 defeat to Wheeler in overtime. The Warriors grabbed midseason momentum with double-digit wins over Forsyth Central, South Forsyth and Alpharetta to sit 4-2 entering October. Again, North Atlanta had a chance to win the next two games, but the Warriors fell short in a 33-31 triple-overtime loss to Lambert and a 10-6 low-scoring defeat to North Forsyth. A 31-17 upset win over West Forsyth put the Warriors in position to make the playoffs, but that would not come to fruition as they lost 31-9 to Denmark to end their season. Returning on offense this season is quarterback Weston Goodman, who set a new school record with 22 passing touchdowns last season. The receiving corps will need guys to step up after Jack Ellenburg and Josh McCullough, who co-led the team in receiving touchdowns with seven apiece, graduated, while the running back room has to replace Bryce Little and Cayden Edwards. Defensively, Quinn Herring returns to build off a monster 57-tackle junior season.
