Sandy Springs announced that the International Code Council (ICC) approved the city as one of its preferred education providers, allowing participants in eligible seminars, roundtables, and other educational programs to earn official credits.
As an ICC Preferred Education Provider, Sandy Springs staff can now help local professionals meet their renewal requirements by providing high-quality, practical, code-focused training. Different certifications, which professionals must renew every three years, require varying amounts of Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Professionals attending eligible programs can stay current with building code changes and evolving industry practices; improve construction quality and code compliance; and earn directly from experienced code officials and industry professionals, according to the city’s announcement.
So far this year, the city has held six sessions. The next one is “How to Pass Your Inspections the First Time Part II” on Aug. 25, from 2-4 p.m.

They provide attendees with practical, real-world knowledge on building codes, permitting, inspections, and construction best practices that can be applied directly to their projects.
