My Sister’s Room (MSR) will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a birthday bash on Saturday, Aug. 22.

MSR has been a cornerstone of Atlanta’s LGBTQ+ landscape since it opened in 1996 at Midtown Promenade. Over the years, MSR has faced the challenges of rising rent amid development, relocating numerous times from Midtown to Decatur, East Atlanta, and back to Midtown before finally relocating to its present home on Crescent Avenue.

The beloved lesbian bar is co-owned by couple Jen Maguire and Jami Atlanta. Maguire is known in Atlanta by her stage name, Chase Daniels.

Tickets for the MSR 30th Anniversary Birthday Party are $10.25 and can be purchased on MSR’s website.
