Saturday’s storms forced the postponement of the annual Atlanta Beltline Lantern Parade, but the event is now rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26.
The event will be on a modified route, beginning at the Atlanta Beltline Marketplace Allene location (1089 Allene Ave SW) and then running along the Southwest Trail before wrapping up in the Lee+White parking lot.
The public is still invited to bring their own lanterns and walk in the parade, which starts at 8 p.m. The line-up will begin at 7:15 p.m. at Beulah Colbert Park.
Immediately following the parade, all are welcome to join the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons, the bands, and parade-goers at the official after-party in the Lee + White Food Hall parking lot.
Organizers are encouraging attendees to walk, bike, rideshare, or take the ATL Spoke shuttle service from West End MARTA station. There will be very limited parking at 1200 White St., Herman J. Russell West End Academy, and in adjacent neighborhoods. Parking near the parade route is expected to fill quickly.
