The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs is inviting residents to help shape the future of parks and recreation through series of public meetings to discuss the Comprehensive Parks Master Plan Update.
The meetings will give residents, families, park users, and community partners an opportunity to share their ideas, priorities, and vision for parks, recreation facilities, trails, programs, amenities, and open spaces throughout DeKalb County, according to a release from the county.
The public meetings will be held:

The Comprehensive Parks Master Plan Update will serve as a roadmap for the future of DeKalb County’s park system, helping identify community needs, priorities and opportunities for future investments and improvements.
Community feedback will be an important part of the planning process, the release said. Whether residents regularly visit a neighborhood park, enjoy walking or biking on county trails, participate in recreation programs, or simply have ideas for improving local parks, everyone is encouraged to participate.
