Authorities are investigating a shooting at a middle Georgia park early Sunday morning that left 11 people wounded.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was called to Carolyn Crayton Park just after midnight for reports of a shooting.
While on the way the way there, deputies learned that several shooting victims had arrived at the hospital in personal vehicles.
In total, 11 people were wounded: four 18-year-old boys, five 17-year-old boys and two 18-year-old girls.
Two of the boys, ages 17 and 18, are currently listed in critical condition. The other nine victims are stable.
None of their identities have been released.
Investigators are still working to learn what led up to the shooting and identify suspects.
Senator Raphael Warnock released a statement on Sunday afternoon:
I’m closely following reports of a shooting at Carolyn Crayton Park this morning in which multiple teens were injured. My prayers are with those injured and their families and I’m grateful for the law enforcement officers who responded at the scene.
