Norcross announced a slate of Halloween-themed activities, including trick-or-treating, festivals, seasonal movies, and haunted tours, starting in mid-October and running through the end of the month.

The city’s official Spirits of the Season lineup kicks off on Oct. 22 with Witches Night Out throughout the historic downtown district and culminates in a Día de los Muertos Festival at Thrasher Park on Oct. 30.

• Movie Monday’s “Wicked: For Good“: There are two showings of the Wicked sequel on Oct. 12 at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. at the Norcross Cultural Arts & Community Center.

• Witches Night Out: In partnership with the Historic Norcross Business Administration, the city has Elphaba and Glinda from Wicked, live music, witches’ brew, tarot readings, moonlit painting, hair tinseling, and metallic tattoos at 5:30 p.m. downtown on Thursday, Oct. 22. Surrounding businesses are also slated to have in-store specials.

• Lionheart Theatre’s “Lawless Spirits”: The Lionheart Theatre Company’s signature spooky walking tour of Historic Downtown Norcross returns on Oct. 22-25 with even more restless spirits for two tours per evening at 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm. The local nonprofit theater company has tickets available.

• Deutsche Klassic German Car Show: More than 250 classic German automobiles will be on display on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., including BMWs, Audis, Porsches, Mercedes-Benzes, Volkswagens, and Opels. The 6th annual car show also features traditional German cuisine, beer, polka music, and dancing.

• Downtown Trick-Or-Treating: Starting at 3 p.m. after the Deutsche Klassic’s Oct. 24 car show, downtown shops, businesses, and restaurants will be passing out candy while supplies last.

• Movie Monday: “Casper”: There are two showings of the story about the friendly ghost on Oct. 26 at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. at the Cultural Arts & Community Center.

• Día De Los Muertos Festival: The Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican holiday celebrated Oct. 31 through Nov. 2, when families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a joyful reunion. Norcross is celebrating with live music and food on Friday, Oct. 30, at Thrasher Park from 5-9 p.m. The holiday merges indigenous Mesoamerican rituals and Catholic observances of All Souls’ Day.
