The East Atlanta Nature Sanctuary will host its inaugural Fall Fest on Oct. 17 with a pumpkin patch, farmers’ market, a plant swap, fall gardening workshops, and children’s events.
The farmers market will be specifically designed for first-time backyard growers and food producers, including those working in small quantities who may not yet have the volume or infrastructure required for a conventional farmers market.
For families with young children, the day will include yoga and music classes, plus arts and crafts.
The Nature Sanctuary is a new nonprofit in East Atlanta, a partnership of Atlanta Mennonite Church, the Language Garden, Paideia School, HolaLand, and East Atlanta residents.
The group is working to establish a land trust over nearly six acres of forest, farm, church, and garden off Bouldercrest Road.
Fall Fest is free and open to the public and will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1088 Bouldercrest Drive SE.
