The weekend after Atlanta Pride, queer-owned event company The Greenhouse Social is hosting a weekend full of plants, pride, and entertainment.

From Oct. 16 to 18, the inaugural Dirt and Glitter Plant Show will take over the former site of Forever 21 at Atlantic Station.

The weekend kicks off on Friday, Oct. 16, with a VIP Party Preview. This event will give guests the opportunity to shop for plants before the show opens on Saturday – plus a live performance by Atlanta drag queen Gigi Diamond, an exclusive swag bag, and other surprises.

General admission attendees are then invited to shop from the lineup of plant growers, shops, artists, makers, and other local businesses beginning on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m. Vendors will be selling everything from easy, beginner-friendly houseplants to rare collector finds, plus plant pots, botanical art, and other plant-inspired goods.

“The plants are what get people in the door, but the community is really what it’s about,” Steven Crafton-Karnes, co-founder of The Greenhouse Social, said. “Our customers become our friends, and our friends become our vendors. That happens all the time in the plant community. Dirt and Glitter is another chance to bring all of those people together, and hopefully introduce some new people to it too.”

General admission tickets to the Dirt and Glitter Plant Show are $10 and include access to the show on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. VIP tickets are $35 and include access to the Friday VIP party and early entry on Saturday at 9 a.m.
