The U.S. Department of Justice is sending 1,000 poll watchers around the country, including to Georgia.
Some of the poll watchers will be deployed to Fulton County. County officials say they have no concerns about poll watchers from the DOJ.

“Public observation of elections has always been around,” Allen said. “And am I concerned about it? No. We are coordinating and have coordinated across the region, across federally as well. If there is anything that we need to be concerned about, we are prepared to address right away.”
DOJ poll watchers will be subject to the same rules as Democratic, Republican, and independent poll watchers, and only two from each organization can be stationed at every poll. They can only observe, not intervene with voting or counting.
Fulton has been a battleground for unfounded claims of voter fraud, and the DOJ and FBI raided a Fulton elections warehouse in January and seized hundreds of boxes of ballots from the 2020 election.
Election Day is Nov. 3.
