Sandy Springs-based Children’s Wish Foundation International, a wish fulfillment organization for children with life-threatening illnesses, has hired a corporate and foundation relations specialist as a part of its campaign to raise the public profile of children with serious and terminal illnesses.
Rebecca Murphy, an experienced marketing specialist who has worked for the Shepherd Center and High Museum, will initiate CWFI’s corporate relations work as part of its Office of Development. Murphy’s portfolio includes corporate and event sponsorship packages, and corporate community relations.
Children’s Wish Foundation has increased its lists of special events and is seeking additional corporate sponsorships. Murphy will also focus her efforts on the Foundation’s Family Focus program, which gives the children and their families on-going support by offering families special outings to the theater, movies, ball games, children’s museums, restaurants and other entertainment venues as a respite from their normal regiment of hospital stays, doctor visits and medical treatments.
