New this year to the Expo are “themed” areas: a green wedding area, a kids’ zone, a chef’s corner, an eco-garden, and a green holiday marketplace. One of the stars of the show, the wedding area will feature rental and consignment dresses and tuxedos, caterers and bakers who feature organic and seasonal ingredients and menus, eco-travel options for honeymoon vacations, green wedding gift ideas, and much more.
Through a partnership with the Captain Planet Foundation, the Expo is sponsoring a video contest within the greater Atlanta area elementary, middle, and high school systems in which students will answer the question “Did You Know?” with a short clip informing viewers about an environmental theme and offering suggestions to address the problem. The winners will be announced at the Expo on Saturday, and the videos will be played in the Kid’s Zone throughout the event.
Those are just a few of the things that will be going on at the Enviro Expo USA this year. The event will take place on from 10 am until 5 pm on Saturday, Nov. 14, and Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Georgia World Congress Center. It is free and open to the public.
