Construction students at Cross Keys High have completed 10 hours of federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration training. The classes covered topics such as general safety and health provisions, fall protection, use of personal protective and lifesaving equipment and using scaffolds cranes, derrick, hoists, elevators and conveyors. Upon completing the classes, students may take tests to receive OSHA certification, which allows them to visit construction job sites as an extension of their classroom work.
