Sofia Della Rosa, 6, and her brother Michael, 3, enjoy the swimming during Chastain Pool’s Opening Day May 15. The youngsters’ parents are Deborah and Brian Della Rosa. The Chastain Park Athletic Club is operating the pool, built in 1940, for its ninth season after saving it from destruction in 2002. The association is raising funds to build a Chastain Aquatics Center.
