Grass was greener on other side

If you hadn’t noticed . . . . the Buckhead Coalition did. The bridges on Peachtree Road over the CSX Railroad and over Peachtree Creek in south Buckhead were heavily weeded only on one side of each. That was only half good enough. A cleanup project was coordinated through the Coalition’s Street Ministry Program, employing homeless workers, to clean the bridges on both sides. Under the guidance of the Rev. Bert Smith, at left, and Coalition Director of Community Development Garth Peters, a pickup truck load of weeds, trash and dirt was carted away.
