Middle Eastern street food restaurant Rina closed last week after six years at the Ford Factory Lofts across from Ponce City Market on the Eastside Beltline.

First reported by Tomorrow’s News Today, Rough Draft confirmed the closure with a representative for Oliva Restaurant Group, which oversees Rina. According to the representative, Rina will eventually reopen in a new location, and its catering business remains operational.

The representative did not provide further details when asked what prompted the closure at Ford Factory Lofts, where Rina would relocate, or when it would reopen. “Rina’s Old Fourth Ward location is now closed. Please stay tuned to @rina.atl for future updates about Rina’s next location,” the statement provided to Rough Draft read.

Oliva Restaurant Group, founded by restaurateur Tal Baum in 2015, also operates Bellina Alimentari, Mercato di Bellina, and Atrium at Ponce City Market, and Carmel at Buckhead Village.

In 2019, Baum and Oliva opened Middle Eastern restaurant Aziza and takeout restaurant Falafel Nation at Westside Provisions District. Both closed in 2024. Soju distillery and restaurant incubator Minhwa Spirits and Korean pop-up TKO (The Korean One) will take over the Aziza and Falafel Nation spaces early next year.

Rina opened in January 2020, just two months before the COVID-19 pandemic. A second location opened three years later at Avalon in Alpharetta. It closed in 2024. NFA Burger took over the space a year later.

In 2025, Oliva Restaurant group was a Restaurant of the Year finalist for the Georgia Restaurant Association’s annual Grace Awards.
