A 38-year-old woman who was removed from her trash-filled home June 22 died shortly after 11 p.m. July 3, according to Investigator Betty Honey with the office of the Fulton County Medical Examiner.

The woman, identified as Mary Minter, died of “alcoholic liver disease and an enlarged heart” at Northside Hospital, Honey said.

Minter was semi-conscious when Sandy Springs police and firefighters removed her from her debris-filled bedroom June 22 and took her to Northside Hospital.

Her home on Kitty Hawk Drive has since been cleaned up by Minter’s relatives. Neighbors mowed the lawn.
